Book club discussion notes: Hanna’s daughters- Marianne Fredriksson

The Last Thursday Bookclub recently met to discuss Hanna’s Daughters,  a story of three generations of Swedish women. Three generations of women trying to understand their lives and the lives led by the generations before them. Some found it hard to follow as the women’s names are Hanna, Anna and Johanna. One member thought it was a lovely tale of the three generations and spoke up in defence of the book , which was great.

Some group members were unable to finish the book in time for the meeting and are still reading it. It is a very different and interesting book, the cultural setting being in the far north of Scandinavia.
