The Councillor ofParramatta City Council, NYR ambassador, Scott Lloyd has this to say about National Year of Reading:

It is a great honor for me to be a National Year of Reading Ambassador for the Parramatta Library. During the time I will be promoting the benefits of reading and equally important promoting all the services provided by our wonderful Library.

It is very hard for me to pick my favorite books of all time.

I love all different types of books ranging from funny fictional novels through to serious real life stories taking me on an emotional roller coster journey.Readinggives me relaxation or it gives me an escape from todays world. 

Readingis important and age is no barrier in learning new things. Books open the world to people of all ages races and religions and the National Year of Reading campaign is encouraging everyone to pick up a book at our local library.
