The Last Thursday Reading Group

Parramatta City Library starts to run and new reading group The Last Thursday Reading Group, in coordination with Neighbour Aid. This group provides a new avenue to those senior citizens, especially those dismobile or from non English backgroup, to group together and discuss their readings.

The group meets the last Thursday of the month and will discuss a same book they read. For the first meeting, the group recommends those titles for other readers

Books Alive 2009: 50 books you can’t put down has gone alive from August 26. Books Alive is an Australian Government initiative developed through the Australia Council for the Arts, the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body. 50 books are recommended from wide range of adult fiction,non fiction and children’s books. Parramatta City Library has most of titles in its collection.
