Discussion form the 1st Wed Reading Group

This month; the First Wednesday reading group discussed the book of ‘Salvation Creek‘ by Susan Duncan.

It is a book about the author’s life after her husband and brother died. She moves to a mountain and starts a new life.

Some members from the reading group enjoyed reading this book, however some of them thought this biography was less than honest, so to speak.

It’s easy reading but the themes are not that light. For people who like biography it’s still worth a look and is a recommended read.

This was the last meeting for 2009 for this reading group.  The book for the first meeing in the new year is Barack Obama‘s biography  ‘Dreams from my father‘. The group is looking forward to the festival season and hope to see you all again in the new year.
