Literacy Reading Club
Parramatta City Library will start a Literacy Reading Club from 16th of February 2012.
This club is for people with intermediate literacy level but wish to start reading. The group will focus on reading journal articles according to particular themes from National Year of Reading 2012.
Come to the library and join this group for learning as well as to meet people with a cup of tea on every 3rd Thursday of the month from 10:30 am to 12 noon.
Online reading group
From January 2012, Parramatta City Library will have an online reading group in participating National Year of Reading 2012. The themes for discussion please see this link.

Robin Walsh & the book ‘In her own words’

Robin Walsh is the curator of the Lachlan Macquarie Room in the Macquarie University Library. For the past 20 years he has been actively investigating the life of Elizabeth macquarie to piece together her relationship with Governor Lachlan Macquarie, their life together in colonial Sydney and the history of their Jarvishfield estate on the Isle of Mull in Scotland.
