Beloved Australian author Belinda Alexandra is coming to Parramatta City Library.
Belinda Alexandra’s books have sold over 350,000 copies in Australia alone and have been published to wide acclaim in New Zealand and across Europe. Her previous novels include Tuscan Rose, White Gardenia, Wild Lavender and Silver Wattle.
The daughter of a Russian mother and an Australian father, Belinda has been an intrepid traveller since her youth. Her love of other cultures is matched by her passion for her home country, Australia, where she is a volunteer rescuer and carer for the NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service (WIRES). Belinda married her Italian dance partner after learning the tango with him as part of her research for her second book, Wild Lavender.
Belinda’s latest novel Golden earrings delivers another powerful saga of adventure, love, humour and betrayal. It moves between two great cities: Barcelona in the lead up to the Spanish Civil War and Paris in the 1970s. It is the story of two women and the extremes to which they are willing to go for love. It is a story of great passions – and great betrayals – where nothing is quite as it seems.
Belinda Alexandra‘s talk will be held on Wednsday, 7th March, 1 -2 pm. The author will be happy to sign the books for attendees. Dymocks will be coming for book sale in a reduced price. Booking on 9806 5159. Come along and join us for this fantastic event.
