Clive Small

Clive Small is a former detective and Assistant Commissioner of the NSW Police. His investigations included the murder of anti-drugs campaigner Donald Mackay, the Nugan Hand bank, the shooting of police officer Michael Drury, the murder of Cabramatta MP John Newman and the backpacker murders which led to Ivan Milat being convicted.

With Tom Gilling he has written a book about the drug trade in Australia Smack Express. The book Betrayed is the latest title by the author. Clive was one of NSW’s most successful detectives and an Assistant Commissioner of Police before leaving the force. Tom Gilling is a highly regarded investigative journalist and fiction writer.

Clive Small is coming to Parramatta Library for a lunch hour author talk. He’ll talk about his other book ‘Blood money’, a meticulously researched and revealing expose of the new players in organised crime.
