2016 Costa Book Awards

The Costa Book Awards honour some of the most outstanding books of the year written by authors based in the UK and Ireland. There are five categories – First Novel, Novel, Biography, Poetry and Children’s Book – with one of the five winners chosen as Book of the Year, announced at an awards ceremony in London every January.

The Man Booker winner 2016

Paul Beatty -The SelloutThe Man Booker has announced its 2016 winner today. Selected from 6 shortlisted authors, Paul Beatty‘s The sellout has won this year’s The Man Booker Prize, the first American writer to win the Man Booker prize, for a caustic satire on US racial politics that judges said put him up there with Mark Twain and Jonathan Swift.
