Eureka: the unfinished revolution by Peter Fitzimmons

 

Comments:

  • Peter’s style is demeaning of anyone of the establishment. He has a sneering style.
  • Peter has written a book that is too verbose – wordy.
  • A good editor could have cut the book by about two thirds and it would have been a more enjoyable read.
  • Readers in the group learnt a lot of background information about Eureka.
  • Readers were upset by how the colonists treated others.

Hugh Mackay will be visiting Parramatta City Library on Tuesday 30th July 2013 for our LUNCH HOUR AUTHOR TALK.

Hugh will be talking about his latest book ‘The Good Life’ – Argued with all the passion and intelligence we have come to expect from one of Australia’s most prolific and insightful authors. ‘The Good Life’ is a book that will start conversations, ignite arguments and possibly even change the way we live our lives.
