Catcher in the Rye Book Group Comments

Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger has certainly caused some very different reactions amongst the First Wednesday Book Club members! It brought up a number of questions of what life was like in December 1949 in the USA.  The book features the memories of teenager Holden Caulfield of events occuring a year earlier and is written from a first person perspective. Change date for the 2nd Tue Evening Reading Group

Parramatta Library will be receiving an exciting makeover by redesigning shelving, display and seating areas on the ground floor. Therefore the library will be closed from Monday 7th to Thursday 10th Feb, reopen from Friday 11th Feb. The 2nd evening reading group will be changing the group meeting to the following Tuesday, 15th Feb.
