I am extremely honoured to be Parramatta’s City Library Ambassador for the National Year of Reading 2012. As an educator, reading is the keystone to learning but more importantly it is an essential skill for life. Well, I never thought I’d be an ambassador! And to be a reading ambassador for a wonderful library – what could be better? As a child I was a fanatical reader and I don’t know what I would have done without my much loved local library. I’m absolutely proud and delighted to have this honour.
